We love a cliffhanger - literally.
The scene is set in Pebble Beach, California - the location of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am. The Monterey Peninsula Foundation was posed with a challenge: How were they to create a temporary space on unforgiving terrain, all while creating a hospitable and memorable experience for attendees? Our sister studio, assembly, stepped up to the plate.
In partnership with other vendors, the project required the construction of a venue that hung off a cliff by the Par 3 course. With engineering precision and a deeply collaborative approach alongside trusted vendor partners, assembly designed and delivered a freestanding temporary structure that extended over the cliffside. Inside the pavilion, the Lone Cypress Club; A clubhouse hosting the experience for tournament attendees. The space was conceptualized not just as a place to grab drinks, but as a place to belong. The experience concluded successfully, creating a moment to remember for tournament-goers alike and earning high marks for the foundation.
Every detail was intentional. Sightlines framed the course. Flow encouraged connection. The atmosphere turned spectators into a community bonded by one thing: a shared love of the game.
