Lexus took its place among the masterpieces.

Description

As Official Automotive Partner of The Armory Show, Lexus introduced the All-Electric 2026 ES and First-Ever 2027 TZ to New York's art crowd. Artist Alex Alpert's live drawing, hidden blacklight illustrations and a portrait moment made the space part of the show.

Lexus made its debut at The Armory Show in New York as the Official Automotive Partner, bringing two vehicles to one of the city's most influential fall cultural moments: the All-Electric 2026 ES and the First-Ever 2027 TZ. The show draws collectors, curators and art-minded New Yorkers who come for the art and hold everything else to the same standard. The brief was to enter that conversation with credibility, surrounded by hundreds of world-class galleries, and give a gallery-going audience a reason to look closer at Lexus.

Energy, from canvas to cabin.

We positioned Lexus as part of the show's creative experience, a destination where art, design and electrification met. Artist Alex Alpert built the concept around one idea: energy shapes both art and innovation. His work began as a spark, grew beyond the canvas and converged with the two vehicles across three chapters: Transformation, Discovery and Evolution.

That structure invited guests into the creative process itself. Live art, an interactive photo moment and illustrations hidden throughout the space gave people reasons to linger, and each one led back to the ES and TZ.

From watching the artist to becoming the art.

Alex drew live beside a wall of framed originals, so guests could watch a piece move from first line to finished work. Meanwhile, "Drawn in the Moment" brought them into the frame. Guests personalized their portrait with Alex's graphic motifs and subtle animation, then left with a shareable digital piece that carried the moment well past the show floor.

The details hid in plain sight (and under blacklight).

The vehicles held surprises of their own. Inside the ES, Alex's illustrated floor mats responded to the cabin's ambient lighting, folding Lexus technology into the artwork. In the TZ, the moonroof became a gallery ceiling, revealing a hidden constellation of stars under blacklight. More illustrations waited around the space for anyone with a blacklight and a little curiosity, and canvas totes and postcards featuring Alex's linework sent guests home with a piece of the show.

Lexus After Dark.

After the galleries dimmed, Lexus After Dark carried the activation into The Armory Show After Hours, an exclusive ticketed evening. Food and drinks on the house, limited-edition sketchbooks featuring Alex's artwork and the interactive elements of the space kept a steady crowd in the footprint all night.

From art appreciation to automotive curiosity.

Guests came for the art and stayed to talk cars. Live drawing, hidden details and the photo moment kept pulling people deeper into the space, and conversations with product specialists followed. The TZ won fans with its design, three-row layout and range, and plenty of guests wanted to know when they could get behind the wheel. The ES caught the eye of people who had never put Lexus on their list. For a first year among the galleries, Lexus looked right at home.
